Face to Face - Standards and Practices
Vagrant Records
Best know for 1994 almost hit "Disconnected", Face to Face have survived the major label let down and have put together an album of some of their favorite cover tunes.  They tackle classics from The Smiths, The Ramones, and Fugazi just to name a few.  This is actually quite a good CD, especially for those who grew up on much of the music catalogued here.  My favorite track is their rendition of Sugar's "Helpless".

The GC5 - Kisses from Hanoi
Outsider Records
The GC5 do the Oi/rock/street punk thing completely unlike anyone else.  Their unique blend of guitar hooks and riveting bass lines breathes new life into the rock 'n' roll tradition.
Kisses... contains 14 excellent anthems for the working class, the young, and the pure of heart.  All of this and these are four of the greatest guys you'd hope to meet.  Excellent CD, buy it now!

The GC5 - Horseshoes & Handgrenades
Leprock Records
To the delight of street rock 'n' roll fans everywhere, The GC5 return with a new five song EP.
Horseshoes & Handgrenades picks up where Kisses from Hanoi leaves off and never looks back.  This CD is tightly packed with four brilliant originals and ripping version of The Replacements classic "Bastards of Young".  Do yourself a favor and hunt down this CD, it won't be easy to find, but it is well worth the effort.

Flogging Molly - Swagger
Side One Dummy Records
From the open crash of "Salty Dog" to closing desperation of "Far Away Boys", Flogging Molly delivers the most energetic and refreshing CD to come along in years.  Mixing traditional Irish folk music with rock 'n' roll,
Swagger will get under your skin and get to your soul.  If you like The Pogues or The Dropkick Murphys, you'll love Flogging Molly!

Hayseed Dixie - A Hillbilly Tribute to AC/DC
Dualtone Music Group, Inc.
One look at the back cover of this CD says it all... four overall clad gentlemen straight from the hills of nowhere, complete with fiddles, steel guitar, and ZZ Top beards, prepared to give you the boot scootin'-est renditions of 10 of AC/DC's best tunes.  This CD is a classic from the cover art, to the songs, to the hilarious liner notes.  This CD is a must!

Lars Frederiksen & The Bastards - s/t
Hellcat Records
Rancid guitarist extrodinare Lars Frederiksen steps outside is usual music playground to sing songs about growing up in Campbell, CA.  This CD is pretty much what you'd expect from Lars, tradition punk rock, with hints of oi, hardcore, and rock 'n' roll.  This CD includes a great cover of Billy Bragg's "To Have and To Have Not", along with the amazingly catchy originals "Six Foot Five" and "Skunx".
